Diamond Sharp’s summer vacation

Not really a vacation, but rather a funded internship during the summer before her senior year. “My summer had two parts. I worked for a performance artist in Washington, D.C., named Holly Bass. And I interviewed artists and leaders of cultural organizations in the region, researching the power of arts in building community. I was interested in going into law school and advocacy—but I was also interested in creative writing and arts administration. Diamond ’11 is now an editor at ZORA magazine, in Washington, D.C.
