Wintersession at Wellesley is just around the corner, and we have the
Keohane Sports Center
Wintersession Schedule and the Wintersession Bus
Schedule (both can be found under Campus Information, Schedules). The College

December 16, 1994
University of Pennsylvania has an excellent African Studies
server, with good links to other Black/African internet resources; you can find
it listed on our CWIS under Research Resources, Internet Resources, Academic
Departments. In this same location, you'll also find Russian Area Studies: five
sites that range from highly structured to engagingly personal, like the MIT
Russian Club; some of these pages are in Cyrillic! The final new item in this
category is Judaism and
Jewish Resources, from the Nysernet (NY) Shamash Project, linking relevant
Internet sites from around the world; emphasis on material from Israel.
Wellesley's Computer
Science Department now has a home page, with links to faculty pages and soon,
course information. They can be found under Campus Information, Academic
Departments, Departments and Programs. And we have the schedules for the new Natick Shuttle,
just in time for holiday shopping at the malls; you can find it under Campus
Information, Schedules, Bus Schedules.

The Math
Department weighs in with Faculty pages, Department Activities, Course
Descriptions, and even Job Information. Also new are
Amtrack
train schedules, an
800 number phone directory service--both of which
can be found in Research Resouces under the Reference Collection--and a link to Feminist Activist
Resources, accessible through the Research Resources, Internet Resources,
Academic Departments section.

for various buses and vans that provide service to and from Wellesley are listed. We also
have a pointer to MIT's oldest and largest newspaper,

The General Internet
Tools and Services section now has pointers to two lists of information
servers at other colleges and universities. One is a list of
American
Universities only; the other is a list of
International and American College and University Home Pages.

The section which displays
Pictures of Wellesley College
now shows pictures which are bigger and better than ever.
The thumbnails are still the same size, but if you click on the small
picture, you'll see the full size image in an external viewer -- and now
many of the pictures are full screen and full color. If your computer
and monitor are capable of displaying thousands of colors, you're in for a
treat.

Compliance Document For Crime Awareness And Campus Security Act.

Internet
resources for Research now has a link to a fabulous collection of
digitized maps at the University of Texas at Austin. The collection
includes maps of Africa, the Americas, Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent
States, Europe, Islands, Oceans, and Poles, the Middle East, the United
States, World City Maps, and a good ole World Map.

Electronic Reference Collection has been substantially updated to include a
wide range of reference works available over the Internet. Links to dictionaries,
fact books, an interactive Currency Converter, Stock Quotes, Zip and Area Codes.

College Count has been added to the Facts About Wellesley section of the
CWIS. This file contains information about the numbers and FTE of students,
broken out by class, resident/non-resident. It also includes figures on numbers
of Continuing Ed students, Post-Bacs, specials, high school students and others.
