_The Women's Review of Books_, the monthly feminist book review which is one of the projects at the Center for Research on Women, has expanded its web page: the _Review_ is now featuring highlights from its current issue, a "Win a Subscription" contest, a subscription order form and information about advertising in the _Women's Review_, as well as links to other feminist journals and women's bookstores worldwide. The Spring 1996 issue of the Friends of the Wellesley College Library is now on the CWIS. There is an article on instructional applications of video, on the new Curriculum Resources collection at Clapp Library, and on the usefulness of InterLibrary Loan. The Internet Resources for Political Science page has been updated to add new content, such as the site called "Political Scientists's Guide to the Internet" and a link to an extensive set of U.S. historical documents, as well as links to 5 other related areas on the CWIS. To reach this page, choose Research Resources, Subject-Specific Internet Resources, Academic Department and Program, Political Science.

A new page on municipal government offers links to the Wellesley [town] Cybercenter, the Massachusetts EOCD's Community Locator (data and descriptive information on the cities and towns of the Commonwealth), and local and municipal web sites around the country. It should be of interest to political science students, staff who are searching for a new home, and possibly to travelers. The Telecommunications department has just put up a new section on the CWIS to allow student telephone and voicemail requests to be entered online! To reach this handy form, go to Campus Information, Especially for Students, Telephone Services, Telephone/Voicemail requests.

A number of important Library policies are now in place. The policies cover the mission of the Library, development of the A-V collection, policy on periodical subscriptions, on-site use policy for people who are not members of the Wellesley college community, and the gifts policy (conditions under which the Library can accept gifts of library materials). The Internet Research Resources for Film and Video page has been updated and revised to provide better direct access to the most useful sites for film study. The Internet Research Resources for Chinese and Education have also been updated and expanded as well. To reach any of these pages, choose Research Resources, Subject-Specific INTERNET resources, and then either Films and Video, or Academic Departments and Programs, Chinese or Education.

The Wellesley Hillel Foundation has new web pages up on the CWIS! They're full of information about Jewish sites on the Internet, resources on campus, and alumnae and student activities, to name just a few things. To reach these pages, choose Campus Information, Administration and Campus Services, Hillel Foundation.

The Public Affairs Office has updated their web page to include news releases about Wellesley. It includes information about changes in the adminstration as well as news stories about students receiving scholarships and famous lecturers and their discussion topics while lecturing at Wellesley. It also provides contact numbers for media representatives who would like to get more information about Wellesley, or who have questions about any of the news releases. Not sure of what's going on today on campus? How about tomorrow? Next month? The Wellesley College Calendar of Events is now up on the CWIS. It has the times, event information, contact person, and location of every event on campus from now until June third. The Calendar is updated daily to stay current with the rapid changes and additions to campus-wide events. To reach this page, choose Campus Information, Schedules, College Calendar of Events. Ever had the experience of knowing that the information is online, if only you knew where to find it? In the Reference Collection, there has been an addition of searchable directories of listservs and newsgroups to make it easier to find just what you're looking for online. To reach this page, choose Research Resources, An Internet Reference Collection, Directory of listservs and Usenet newsgroups.

The Internet Resources for Sociology, Biochemistry, Psychology, Spanish, and History pages have been updated. Highlights of the Sociology page include the Register of Social Science Electronic Journals, Social Science Data Collection site, and Social Research Update site. The Biochemistry page has a link to the National Center for Biotechnology Information which maintains GenBank, the NIH genetic sequence database which collects DNA sequences from scientists worldwide. In History there are two great new sources on Medieval history: Libellum Mundi, and Labyrinth. Psychology features the Neuropschology Central site, a comprehensive source for neuropsych research and resources. Spanish has two new links, to Famous Hispanics and Library catalogs in Spain. You can get to these pages by choosing Research Resources, Internet Resources, Academic Departments and Programs, and then the appropriate department.

What's Happening, the new Student Activities page, is now up and linked to the Wellesley CWIS. If you need to find out about student activities going on within the current month, this is the place to look! If nothing on-campus appeals to you, there's also links to off-campus activities and functions at other colleges and in the general Boston area. To get to the What's Happening page, choose Campus Information, Schedules, Student Activities Calendar.

The Center for Work and Service has new pages up on the CWIS. It has information on internships, job recruiting, graduate advising, and resources at Wellesley and elsewhere for job searching, to name just a few things. If you're looking for a place to start your job search, or at least get a feeling for the kind of information the Center for Work and Service has to offer, this is the place to go. The Friends of the Library newsletter for Fall of 1995 has been posted on the CWIS. It contains articles on authors reading their work, information on what has been added to the library collections, and an article about art on the World Wide Web. Looking for help with Banner? The Banner Information System now has a web page on the CWIS, containing login and troubleshooting tips and request forms for Banner accounts. The Internet Resources for Research in Sociology page has been updated. It now includes a good introductory guide, lists of organizations, newsletters, listservs, and Sociology departments are provided as well as data collection sites on the Internet. The Telecommunications Office has recently posted both a student and faculty/staff page to the CWIS to answer frequently asked questions about billing, services, and directory assistance. These pages also have tips on how to use voicemail and the special features of the telephone lines. To reach these pages, choose Campus Information, Especially for Students, Telephone Services for the student page, and Campus Information, Administration and Campus Services, Telephone Services/IS for the faculty/ staff page.

The Wintersession bus schedules for the Senate Bus, MIT Exchange, and Natick Shuttle have been updated on the CWIS. Also, new links to the MBTA Commuter Rail and T schedules have been added and updated. The Commuter Rail page has an excellent form that allows you to choose starting and ending locations on the rail and get the schedule between those points. To reach this page, choose Campus Information, Schedules, Bus and Train Schedules, and then choose the appropriate schedule.

The Internet Resources for Research in Psychology have been updated to include the Personality Page, which lists recommended readings and provides links to information about researchers, graduate training programs and scholarly societies in the field of personality.
