Quick
Fix Grants
Quick fix grants provide small amounts of money during the academic year to
meet short-term, specific instructional needs that could not be addressed
far
enough in advance to be built into departmental budgets. The application and
review process have changed and are now handled through individual departments.
(NEW)
General
Grants
General grants are intended to support the development of a new or experimental
course; to extensively revise an existing course; to support travel to conferences
specifically related to teaching; and to allow participation in a workshop or
class related to the subject that you teach.
Deadlines for General Grants are September 17, 2007, November 5, 2007, February 4, 2008 and April 7, 2008.
Experimental
Courses
The ER&D Committee encourages applications for the support of experimental and
innovative courses. Experimental courses should be innovative in terms of subject
matter or pedagogy or both. These courses should be ones that fall outside of
departmental offerings, but may be in support of new interdisciplinary programs
or may represent emerging areas of study.
