Residential Life and Housing
Residents may return to campus at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, January 3, 2008. Staff will not be available before that time, so please plan your travel accordingly.

Students who will not be living on campus second semester may not live on campus during Wintersession. Students who have been on leave first semester and are returning for second semester may stay in their newly assigned rooms during Wintersession.

LOCKOUTS: You will be charged $10 if you are locked out of your room and Campus Police or Residential Life Staff need to open it for you.

GUESTS: The College Guest Policy is in effect over Wintersession. Overnight guests may stay no more than three consecutive nights within a one week time period beginning Mondays. You are responsible for your guests at all times.

ONE CARDS: Access to residence halls will end at 5:00 PM on December 21, 2007. One Cards will automatically be reactivated at 9:00 AM on Saturday, January 26th. Students returning to campus before January 26th have to go to Campus Police to get their cards reactivated.

Mail Delivery

Mail: Student mail and package service will remain unchanged over winter term.

Packages: We request that you do not send packages to campus more than four days prior to your arrival back on campus.

Forwarding: Mail will only be forwarded for Seniors expecting graduate school material or job offers.

Parking
Students attending Wintersession: If you have a vehicle on campus - even for a short time- it must be registered with the Wellesley College Police Department. Temporary parking permits are available 24 hours a day. Permits cost $2 a day on weekdays, $10 a week and $40 for all of Wintersession. You could also pay the $75 fee which covers Wintersession and second semester by coming directly to the Campus Police Office.

If you are planning on having a car on campus during Wintersession, you will need to email your name, phone number, vehicle make, model, and color, as well as your license plate number, to parking@wellesley.edu. Student vehicles need to be parked on levels 3, 4 and 5.

Students not attending Wintersession: If you are planning to leave a car on campus during the break, you must notify the Wellesley College Police Department. A representative of the department will inform you where to park your vehicle over the break.

Student vehicles which impede snow removal will be towed at the owner’s expense. It may be easier for you to back into the parking space so that if it should snow or your battery goes dead from non-use, it will be easier to drive out of the space or jump the car.

If students have general questions, call the Wellesley College Police Department at x2121. Specific questions about parking should be be mailed to parking@wellesley.edu.
