

CPC: Cultural Presidents Council
CPLA: Committee for Political and Legislative Action. Sponsors politically minded lectures and panels and educates Wellesley students about national and international policy issues.
CWDI: Campus-wide Diversity Initiative
DOOCA: Director of On-Campus Affairs. Chair of SBOG committee.
GenJudic: General Judiciary. Educates the community about and enforces the Honor Code.
HPC: House President’s Council. Legislates residence policy and handles issues pertaining to ResLife.
MAC: Multicultural Affairs Coordinator. Chair of CPC and CWDI Committee.
MAC/OT: Multicultural Affairs Coordinator’s Organizing Team
SBOG: Schneider Board of Governors. Responsible for Programming events such as Lake Day and Tower Court
SOAC: Student Organizations and Appointments Committee. Ratifies organizations’ constitutions, encourages co-sponsorship, appoints students to various committees, chaired by the CGVP.
SOFC: Student Organizations Funding Committee. Approves budgets for Student Orgs, assures fair and equal distribution of student activity fee funds, chaired by the Student Bursar.
UNITY: Not an acronym, but is the name for the council comprised of Senior Staff members, CG Cabinet, and House Presidents
ARB: Academic Review Board. Hears academics-related appeals.
BAC: Budgetary Advisory Committee. Balances college budget.
BOA: Board of Admissions
CARD: Committee Against Racism and Discrimination. Addresses issues of racism or discrimination. Grants money for lectures.
CCI: Committee for Curriculum and Instruction. Deals with course and subject offerings.
CERD: Committee on Educational Research and Development
CFA: Committee on Faculty Appointments. Hears tenure and promotion cases.
CLCE: Committee on Lectures and Cultural Events. Grants money for lectures and events on campus.
FAC: Financial Aid Committee
MLKC: Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee. Grants money for lectures in his honor
SHAC: Student Health Advisory Committee
TCC: Tanner Conference Committee
ADHB: Alcohol and Drug Hearing Board
ALANA: African American, Latina, Asian American and Native American minority student population.
CE: Continuing Education. Davis Scholars
CPOP: Community Policy Officer Patrol
CWIS: Campus-Wide Information System. Wellesley’s Website.
CWS: Center for Work and Service. Job, internship and volunteer work placement. Career advice.
DC: Distribution Center (parking lot)
DMCC: Davis Museum and Cultural Center.
IS: Information Services. Includes libraries, computing, telecommunication
LEAP: Lifetime Empowerment and Awareness program. Teaches self-defense and self-confidence to Boston girls ages 8-14.

SA: Service/Alumnae (parking lots)
SCBT: Student Council to the Board of Trustees
SEQ: Student Evaluation Questionnaire. End-of-semester electronic evaluations of classes and professors.
WCW: Wellesley Centers for Women
APT: Academic Peer Tutor. Advises on academic issues, among them choosing an advisor, developing good study habits and acquiring time management skills.
RCC: Residential Computing Consultant. Manages the computer room, educates residents on all aspects of computing at Wellesley, consults with residents on computer-related problems, and supports in-room network connections.
FYM: First-Year Mentor
HC: House Council. Active dorm members who participate in the problem-solving, programming, and policy-making aspects of the residence halls.
RD: Resident Director. The non-student living in the dorm who provides supervision and training to the Residence Staff and also serves as a counseling resource for the members of the residence hall
HOW: Head(s) of Work. Students who coordinate the bells desk system
HP: House President. Presides over House Council meetings, member of the “Res Staff”
VPA: Vice President of Administration. Student in each residence who levies and collects fines, tracks attendance at HC meetings, serves on residential judiciary, and serve as a general reference source of each ResHall.
VPP: Vice President of Programming – oversee programs/events run in the residence hall and Tower Court and Tower Court 2.
