Past Events

In the past Wellesley Women for Choice has either sponsored or participated in:

  • Wellesley Women for Choice Pride Day: A day to wear blue on campus in support of a woman's right to choose. There was a Planned Parenthood Representative at our table in Schneider. A documentary about the March for Women's lives was shown.

  • March for Women's Lives: This event took place April 25, 2004 in Washington D.C. The Wellesley campus had apprx. seventy representatives at the march.

  • Meeting with Gloria Steinem: An awesome highlight of Wellesley Women for Choice was meeting one of the leaders of the fight for women's reproducive rights and hearing her speak. To find out more about Steinem check out her biography.

  • Vera Drake Movie Premier: This event took place in the Fall 2004 semester.
