For those citizens of the East Kingdom for whom this event is a goodly distance from home, this list of nearby hostels and Inns is provided. Only one of these worthy establishments is within walking distance of the site of Falling Leaves, that being the Wellesley Motor Inn, but the others are all within a ten to fifteen minute drive of the campus, and the Inns will be able to provide you with contact information for taxi services.
If you are planning on driving from any of these hotels, please check the directions immediately following each hotel.
Drive (or walk) down Rt. 16 west, and turn right at the first stoplight you reach. (If you reach Rt. 135, you went the wrong direction; turn around.) Follow the road through Wellesley College. There will be various side roads coming off the main college road; don't turn off on any of them. If you are on foot, immediately after you pass by a small pond surrounded by trees, you'll reach a meadow; this is Munger Meadow, one of the main locations for the Event. Ask for directions to the Gate from anyone wearing a white oak leaf on their shoulder. If you are driving, follow the road past the meadow, and go past two turnoffs on your left. The second one would be Campus Police. Take the next left after Campus Police (this will be a parking lot.) Park, and follow the signs for Gate.
Get to Route 9 East. Follow Rt. 9 east to the intersection with Rt. 16. Take Rt. 16 west, and follow Rt. 16 west; it will merge with rt. 135 and then split off shortly thereafter. Follow rt. 135 (veer to the right.) (If you pass the Wellesley Motor Inn, you went the wrong direction; follow the directions for the Wellesley Motor Inn.) Follow Rt. 135 for roughly a mile; you will pass a sign on the left that says "Wellesley College Motor Entrance: 1/2 Mile". At the first stoplight after that sign, turn left. Make an immediate right into the first parking lot you come to. Park, and follow the signs for Gate.
