How do I join Club Filipina?
Contact an e-board member and express your interest. Or you can fill out the feedback form on this website. You can also join by coming to general meetings. The meeting info is posted on the Club Filipina conference on FirstClass. To get to the conference, go to Wellesley Conference--> Student Forums--> Student Organizations-->Club Filipina. Make sure to add this to your desktop so that you can be well informed of current activities! Club Filipina is open to all and is excited to share the Filipino culture with others.
What role can I play?
Members can play a variety of roles from leader to active member. If you are interested in joining the e-board, elections are held every year during the spring. Also, you can be a member by attending the meetings, participating in activities such as dance rehearsals and lectures, and showing your support of Club Filipina. Club Filipina always welcomes new members who would like to institute their ideas. You do not have to be an e-board member to organize an event relating to Club Filipina.
I am a very busy Wellesley student. How much of a time commitment is Club Filipina?
The time commitment element varies from person to person. If you would like to be actively involved (i.e. be a e-board member, organize an event), there is a greater time commitment. However, you can still be a member and not be consumed (time-wise) by Club Filipina by attending events and meetings.
