Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves)

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar grape leaves (or better yet, pick them yourself!)

  • 2 lb. hamburg

  • _ c. rice

  • _ bunch fresh parsley

  • _ c. tomato sauce

  • _ squeezed lemon

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • _ c. olive oil

  • salt and pepper

  • Procedure:

    Mix all ingredients together, except for grape leaves.
    The mixture should be slightly soft.
    Wrap grape leaves with spoonful of mixture in each, reserving some grape leaves for lining bottom of pan.
    Arrange rest in pan by lining together closely.
    Place heat-resistant Plate on top.
    Add water, but not to cover, and add olive oil.
    Bring to Boil, then simmer for about 45 minutes, adding water as needed.
