A custard delight!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. sweet butter

  • 7_ c. confectioners sugar

  • 1 egg yolk plus 1 whole egg

  • 1 tsp. Vanilla or almond extract

  • 1 6 Tbsp. Ground almonds

  • 4 c. flour (may take more)


Procedure:

Combine butter and sugar until fluffy, about 10-15 minutes with electric mixer.
Add eggs, flavoring, nuts and flour to make a soft dough (not sticky).
Shape cookies, usually crescent shaped.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until slightly brown.
Sift powdered sugar on another cookie sheet and place warm cookies on it, then sift powdered sugar on all cookies until completely covered.
Allow to sugar to set in while they cool.
When serving, place each cookie in a cupcake paper.
