Wellesley College Model United Nations cordially invites you to participate in an exciting even in our club's history: the first annual Wellesley College Model Academic WorldQuest competition. Wellesley WorldQuest is a modified version of Academic WorldQuest, a flagship program of the World Affairs COuncil of America. Whereas the national program is geared towards high school students, our WorldQuest is an intercollegiate international affairs trivia competition, bringing together professors and students from the Boston-area colleges and universities. Please join us on November 19th, 2006 from 2pm to 4pm in Tishman Commons. What is it? How do you play?WorldQuest is a contest bewteen 5- to 8-person teams. Teams compete by answering rounds of questions projected by Microsoft PowerPoint onto a screen. The questions test knowledge of current affairs, world leaders, geography, recent history, flags, international organizeations and more. A full competition is 100 questions, 10 rounds of 10 questions per round. The winning team is the team with the highest number of correct anwers. This year's categories are:
You may register as a team of 5 to 8 people or as an individual. The registration fee is $5 per person if you register by November 12th. If you register as an individual, we will form teams for you. Please go to the respective registration pages for more information. If you can't commit now, you can also register on the day of WorldQuest.
