The Organization for Mental Health Awareness, formed in the fall of 2001, is a relatively new organization on campus. The main purpose of this group is to raise awareness on campus of the numerous mental health issues that many confront, often silently and alone. By making the general community more informed about specific disorders and mental health in general, OMHA seeks to lessen the popular stigma associated with having a mental disorder.
