GENERAL MEMBERSHIP:
The Wellesley Pre-Law Society is open to Pre-Law students and anyone who is interested in current legal issues or the practice of law. If you are interested in becoming a member, you may put yourself on the mailing list either by going into the Pre-Law Society Conference on FirstClass, or contacting any of the officers via email. In order to become a voting member with PLS privileges, you must attend at least three PLS events.
EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITIONS:
* PRESIDENT - Calls and presides over all PLS meetings, coordinates the overall
activities of PLS, delegates responsibilities to officers and members as necessary,
and is in close working contact with the Pre-Law Advisor.
* VICE-PRESIDENT - Works closely with the President, coordinates, general meetings
and oversees overall activities of PLS.
* SECRETARY - Responsible for recording and posting minutes at all PLS E-board meetings
and general meetings, and send out e-mails to all members to inform them of meetings
and events. Also books locations for meetings and events.
* TREASURER - Acts as the official liason between PLS and the Student Organizations
Finance Committe (SOFC). Responsible for planning and maintaining the PLS financial
budget and for organizing at least one fundraiser.
* PUBLICITY CHAIR - Responsbile for publicizing PLS events (i.e. making posters, posting on
bulletins).
* ALUMNAE CHAIR - Serves as the liason between PLS and the alumnae in the legal field.
Organizes the alumnae law panel, and supervises PLS webpage project for students/alumnae.
* EVENTS COORDINATOR - Organizes all social events and lectures hosted by the society.
* WEBMISTRESS - Responsible for maintaining the PLS webpage.
