About TCC

The Wellesley Taiwanese Cultural Committee (TCC) strives to educate students within the greater Boston Taiwanese and Taiwanese-American community by successfully organizing and hosting the 2001 BITSA Conference. We plan to showcase renowned speakers--professors, historians, businessmen and women, entertainers--in a series of lectures, panels, and workshops that focus on various issues dealing with Taiwanese and Taiwanese-American identity, history, culture, and society, as well as those of Asian-Americans. Through TCC's efforts to host the conference, the greater Boston Taiwanese and Taiwanese-American community, in addition to Wellesley students and faculty, shall benefit from the conference that encourages an exchange of ideas and strengthens the intercollegiate network among Taiwanese and Taiwanese-Americans and those interested in Taiwanese and Taiwanese-American issues.

About BITSA

The Boston Intercollegiate Taiwanese Students Association is a student organization devoted to facilitating communication among all Taiwanese and Taiwanese-American students in the Boston area. Established in September of 1997 by students of Harvard, MIT, and Tufts, its purpose is to provide a medium through which Taiwanese students of the Greater Boston Area can come together, interact, and share knowledge and resources. Since its inception, BITSA has grown to include groups from Boston College, Boston University, and Wellesley College.
