Co-President: Karen Chang '00

Hi, my name is Karen Chang and I'm co-president of TSA. I'm a junior hailing from Queens, NY, where I was born. My life at Wellesley has a few main activities: playing table tennis (I'm co-prez of the TT Club too), working as a public cluster computer consultant, attending the Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston (aka Lexington Church), volunteering with TEACH, fulfilling my political science and linguistics majors (I love them both!), and generally procrastinating...and now TSA! My parents have always been active in supporting Taiwan's politics and cultural heritage while living in the US, which have naturally been a major influence in my strong Taiwanese identification. I hope to get to know all of you in the future meetings or around campus!

Co-President: Sandi Liu '00

Hi, my name is Sandi Liu and I am your co-president alongside Karen Chang. It has been great working with everyone these past few weeks to make TSA happen, raising awareness across campus, and witnessing open communication among members, discussing our similarities and differences in political and cultural background. I would very much like to, as I stated in our first general meeting, see TSA flourish under the open, intellectual exchange of different upbringing and perceptions of Taiwan and help everyone discover, or re-discover, for themselves what it means to be a part of Taiwan. I will definitely do my best to let members experience or reminisce Taiwan through the cultural, social, and political events we have on the drawing board this now and for the upcoming year. I've always been extremely attached to my homeland, Taiwan, and I am incredibly enthused to see others who share my passion!

Vice-President: Alice Tzou '01

My name is Alice Tzou, a sophomore who majors in, as of now, Economics and Psychology. Made in Taiwan, I have come to care about Taiwanese affairs by default. As one of the founding mothers, I feel proud and grateful that TSA has finally come into existence. I feel very lucky to be working with a group of creative and passionate executive board members. One night I was having dinner at an ASU discussion table, and people said to me, "Wow! It looks like TSA is going to be really active!" I certainly hope so!

Treasurer: Tina Chen '01

Hello Everyone! I bet you are all as excited as I am to see TSA finally form (gee, it sure did take us a long long while!). I am your treasurer. My name is Tina Chen and I am a sophomore. Taipei is my hometown, and I just love it there!!!! Just think of the food, and the very muggy weather! I grew up in Taipei, then came the states for an education. I still go home for every vacation I can, so maybe I will see some of you at there. Anyway, I just want to welcome all of you to the club! We will have a great time. Let's work and play hard together!
