COMPLETE COSTUME: This typically consists of a beaded bra, matching belt, circle skirt, and a matching veil. The belt is usually attached to the top of the skirt. Depending on the costume-maker, there can also be matching beaded jewelry.

HIP SCARVES: Coin and fringe hip scarves are great practice tools. The scarf helps a dancer learn to move her hips correctly. They can also be used instead of belts in costuming.

ZILLS: In the 'traditional' American routine, the dancer wears finger cymbals and uses them in all the fast/medium songs. The dancer might also opt to use them during the slower songs, but often doesn't.
