Mission statement:

IAAB is an organization created in January 2003 by students at Tufts University and Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts for the purposes of addressing issues of Iran and the Iranian Diaspora.  This student-led organization looks to address these issues through conferences, newsletters, seminars, and various forms of cultural exchanges.

 

IAAB's Main Project for 2004

IAAB is organizing an international conference on the Iranian Diaspora to be held in Boston, MA on April 17-18, 2004. 

 

Desired goals and objectives:

  1. To set a precedent and present a model conference that addresses the current conditions and circumstances of the Iranian Diaspora in a series of lectures and panels.

  2. To educate, engage and inspire the target audience by means of lectures and supplementary cultural events.

  3. To provide an open and supportive environment for productive and interactive discussions about Iran and the Iranian Diaspora.

  4. To bring together Iranian, Iranian-American, American, and international members of the Boston community to engage in a constructive dialogue about the issues faced by the Iranian Diaspora.

  5. To furnish a space for artists of the Iranian Diaspora community to exhibit their work.
