''A career in veterinary medicine offers individuals outstanding opportunities
to model the best in themselves through their compassionate care of animals,
including their health, welfare, and conservation. Animal life is of great
interest to our increasingly urbanized society and of great importance to our
agricultural production of food. Our obligation to serve animals has never
been higher.''
