    Pre-veterinary course requirements vary at many American and international
    veterinary schools. All of the courses listed are not required for every
    veterinary school. Check individual school websites for exact requirements:
    VMCAS Website

    • Biology
      • General Biology with laboratory (two semesters)
        • BISC 110 and 111
      • Genetics (one semester)
        • BISC 219
      • Microbiology (one semester)
        • BISC 209
      • Anatomy and Physiology (one semester)
        • BISC 203

    • Chemistry
      • General Chemistry with laboratory (two semesters)
        • CHEM 105 and 205 or CHEM 120 and 328
      • Organic Chemistry with laboratory (two semesters)
        • CHEM 211 and 212
      • Biochemistry (one semester)
        • CHEM 221 or 222

    • Physics (two semesters)
      • PHYS 104 and 106 or PHYS 107 and 108

    • Animal Nutrition (one semester)
      • Not offered at Wellesley.

    • Mathematics (two semesters)
      • Many options. May include a statistics course taken in a department
        other than mathematics.

    • Miscellaneous
      • Public Speaking (one semester)
        • Not offered at Wellesley, but a course emphasizing public
          speaking can be used to fulfill the requirement (i.e. BISC 209).
