The continued success and
longevity of Zeta Alpha would be impossible without a lasting
commitment from the society's approximate 1,000 living alumnae, and
an active and strong Alumnae
Board is essential toward
achieving these aims. The Board works closely with current
members, student officers, campus officials, and, of course, the
society's alumnae to facilitate these goals and maintain the link
between past and present.
Alumnae are kept apprised of student
and board activities, house renovations, literary happenings, and
reunion
events through a Board
newsletter published in late spring. (Please contact the
Alumnae Board President if you are not currently receiving the
newsletter.) In addition, every June the Board holds a
reception at the house honoring those alumnae returning for reunion
events.
The Board works closely with the
society's elected officers throughout the year and meets yearly with
the current membership. Newly created board positions
including Literary Chair, House Manager, and Member-at-Large, have
worked to strengthen this collaboration; and in recent years,
networking events have been held in Boston and New York to further increase connections between
students and alumnae.
The Board welcomes alumnae willing
to volunteer in any capacity (official board position or otherwise)
and encourages any interested alumnae to attend its triannual
meetings. For information on volunteering or attending board
meetings, please contact the Alumnae Board President . |
