Application Timeline

Below is a timeline to guide you through the regular admission process. For details on Early Admission, Early Evaluation, and Accelerated Admission programs, please review our Decision Plans.
Immediately

Return the application with a check or money order for $50 made payable to Wellesley College. Please be sure your name appears on the check or money order. If you need a fee waiver, ask your guidance counselor to complete a request and attach it to the front of your application. If you apply online the application fee is waived.

Give the School Report and Mid-Year School Report forms to your school guidance counselor or college advisor and ask him or her to return the completed forms to our office as soon as possible. If you have attended more than one high school, give a second copy of the School Report form to your former counselor. The Mid-Year School Report should be returned in February with your most recent grades.
Give the two Teacher Evaluation forms to teachers in different academic subjects who know you well.
If you have not already done so, register to take the required SAT Subject and Reasoning Tests or the ACT with Writing, and have official reports of your scores sent to us. The last testing date for Regular Admission applicants is December.
After four weeks
Telephone the Admission Office if you have not received acknowledgment of your application.

By December 15

If you're interested in an interview and have not yet scheduled a time for one, please contact us.
If you will need financial assistance, file the Profile form with the College Scholarship Service (CSS) and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the appropriate federal processor. The CSS code is 3957; the FAFSA code is 002224. For more specific information, please visit Financial Aid.
The Board of Admission's decisions will be mailed in early April.
As early as possible and before January 15

January 15 is the final deadline for all materials.

If you wish to have audiotapes or slides of artwork, evaluated as part of your application, send them directly to our office. The material will be evaluated by the appropriate department and will not be returned to the applicant. Please do not send videotapes, as they will not be reviewed. We are unable to return material to you.
