Tuition

The inclusive fee for the academic year 2004-2005 at Wellesley is $38,998. This covers tuition, room and board, and student activity and facilities fees. There is an additional mandatory student health insurance fee.

Students studying in the United States generally have a number of additional expenses. Wellesley's estimate of the minimum amounts necessary for these expenses during 2004–2005, excluding travel, is as follows:

Books and supplies $   800
Personal items, clothing, recreation $1,200
Expenses over the December–January vacation $   400
Expenses over the summer vacation $1,300
Total $3,700

This budget does not cover some expenses, such as winter clothing or the purchase of a personal computer. Summer expenses are also the student's responsibility.
