THE QUINT
On the north end of campus is the Hazard Quadrangle, designed by
Boston architect J. A. Schweinfurth in the early part of the
20th
century. Each of the residence halls in the quadrangle, Beebe
Hall, Cazenove
Hall, Pomeroy
Hall, and Shafer
Hall, has three green copper turrets on the top. Shafer
always flies a flag.
The fifth residence hall to make up
the Quint is Munger
Hall, situated above Munger Meadow, where the rugby and ultimate
frisbee teams practice. Residence halls in the Quint
hold special annual traditions, such as baking Beebe gingerbread
on Captain Beebe Day; Pom Springs in Pomeroy, a springtime
talent show; Pomeroy's much anticipated 80s party; and Munger's
pre-Halloween
party.
