Judith Rollins, Ph.DJudith Rollins received the B.A. and M.A. degrees from Howard University and a Ph.D in sociology from Brandeis University. She is the author of numerous articles on the social psychology of domination, the Civil Rights Movement, the ideological role of domestic service, and the contemporary Women's Movement. Her 1985 book, Between Women: Domestics and Their Employers, received the Jessie Bernard Award of the American Sociological Association for its contribution to Women's Studies; and her oral history of an elderly Louisiana woman, entitled All is Never Said: The Narrative of Odette Harper Hines, was published in 1995. Dr. Rollins's current research is on women in the Caribbean. |
