Classmates are working behind the scenes to bring us together in a series of delightful mini-reunions and class celebrations.  Karen Capriles Hodges works with the coordinators to send out Invitations to all class members by both email and snail mail.  A second round of reminder notices usually go out just to classmates in the geographic region of the event.  Much of the coordination from thereon is done by email so be sure to notify Wellesley when your email address changes by logging on to www.wellesley.edu/alum and clicking on Update My Record.  For photos from the recent mini-reunions and plans for the upcoming one in Paris, click on “Mini-Reunions” on the bar above.

Our mini-reunions are attracting more and more members.  We started with New York and Cincinnati, then Washington in the spring.  Next comes Paris this October with the largest turnout of all, thanks to our superb coordinator, Martha Reardon Bewick  (top right).

For some, artistic expression has been an ongoing focus; for others, it is a luxury that comes from having more leisure now.  Click on the appropriate web pages to read about Susie Levine Dworkin’s new book, Dale Penneys Levy’s paintings, the exhibits of Mary Welsh Baskett and Leila McConnell Daw, the photography of Sue Standish Brown, and the music of Jill Coxhead McManus.  And then there is the hugely successful Nora Ephron, whose work needs no further promotion here.  Thank you to Nora for another terrific movie and for the tribute to Julia Child, who seemed to be looking over the shoulders of cooks in our time.

A Note from your web master, Joanne Couch Cogar:  Check back on our website in November for a reprise of the Paris Petite-Réunion, and for an invitation to an event at the Textile Museum to honor Mary Welsh Baskett in January.  All of you are invited to send me comments and material for inclusion in the next update of our website.  Send to joanne.cogar@rcn.com.
