Purpose of our new website

Our class website is being updated after its successful debut for the 45th Reunion.  From now on, you will find news of class events, special features on individual classmates, and memorials to those who have died since our last reunion.

You are encouraged to use this website to refresh your memories of our classmates and to  communicate with one another.  The treasure we found in our classmates during college is still there to be tapped. 

Contents of current web site 

Features will be devoted to individual classmates, not just the ones who usually write in but all of you.  I hope you will be willing to share current photos and stories of yourselves when asked.  This page may also be used for sharing classmates' ideas on subjects of common interest, such as recommended reading, current artwork, photography, and publications.

Events will post current mini-reunions, classmates' art exhibits, public speaking engagements, books signings, and anything else which fellow classmates might attend. 

Memorials will honor those who have died since our 45th reunion.  Allow time for your web master to collect tributes and photos before expecting to see these memorials.  The first such memorial page is devoted to Annie "Smitty" Smith.  A tribute written by her good friend Lynn Porteous appeared in the fall issue of our alumnae magazine.  That is just the beginning.  A truly amazing number of classmates expressed their love and support for Smitty during her last few years.  Click on Memorials to read some of what was written.

Contacts does list class officers and contributors to the website, but it does not include the email addresses of our classmates.  Those can be found by going through a link to Wellesley's Online Alumnae Community, which is accessible only to alumnae using their passwords.  Here you will find the a secure, up-to-date list of email addresses and other contact information for members of our class.  Just a reminder.  Please be diligent about updating the alumnae office when you change your email address.

Notice of Future Updates

We will notify you by class e-newsletters when further updates have been made.  Once the kinks have been ironed out, updating will be done on a quarterly basis.
