Dear Fellow Alums

Wishing you a wonderful 2004!  I know everyone is busy, but I hope everyone will resolve to try to attend at least one Club event this year!

Hope to see you soon!

With Sadness

With sadness we report the passing of Susan McRae ‘67 after a long fight with breast cancer.  Susan was a regular at Club events and served actively as a Club officer for many years.

Ann Tessier Lundeen ‘78 has volunteered to collect donations to be sent as a gift to the College in Susan’s memory.  Questions can be directed to Ann at atessl@aol.com.

The Book Club is Going Strong!

If you wish to participate, the next Book Club gathering is scheduled for 7 p.m. on  Sunday, January 25th, 2004.  The location is to be determined.  The selected reading is The Interpreter of  Maladies, a collection of short stories by Jhumpa Lahiri. For further information, contact violamary89@hotmail.com.

Spring Potluck

IA spring potluck has been tentatively scheduled for April.  If you would be interested in hosting or helping to plan this family-oriented event, please contact Kim Douwes ‘88 at kim_douwes@alum.wellesley.edu.

Luncheon Lecture Invitation

Wellesley College alums along with alumni from other notable universities have been invited to participate in a luncheon lecture series.  The first luncheon will be January 29, 2004.  The topic,  “How Can We Improve Arizona’s High School Completion Rate?” will be addressed by Lattie Coor and Sybil Francis of the Center for the Future of Arizona.  See www.ArizonaFuture.org for more information.
