In order to obtain a permanent email address @alum.wellesley.edu you must:

1. Register for the Connections Community
AND
2. Register for permanent e-mail forwarding


Directions for both registration processes are below.


We recommend that you print out these instructions prior to entering the community.


To register for the WCAA Alumnae Connections Community


1. Click here to enter the WCAA Alumnae Connections Community.

2. Click on the "Click Here to Register Now!" link.

3. Step 1 - Enter your last name, first name, and class year in the yellow registration form.
*CE/DS alumnae:
Enter DS plus the two digit year in which you graduated.

4. Click the "Find My Record" button.

5. Step 2 - Click on your name and class year in the list of eligible members.

6. Step 3 - Enter your college ID number to confirm your identity.
* To find your college ID number,
look at the mailing label on the back of your Wellesley magazine or on any other mail sent to you from the College.

On the top of the label, you will find your ID number; it should appear as AXXXXXXXX, an A followed by an eight-digit number.
If your ID number is only 5, 6, or 7 digits long, add zeros to the beginning of it to make a total of eight digits.

If you cannot locate your ID number, e-mail webdirector@alum.wellesley.edu or call 781-283-2331 to request it.

7. Click the "Validate" button.

8. Step 4 - Proceed with your registration by choosing a user ID and password. Note: Choose your user ID carefully! It will become the first part of your permanent e-mail address. This means that if you choose JaneSmith as your user ID, your permanent e-mail address will be JaneSmith@alum.wellesley.edu.

9. Retype your password for confirmation.

10. Enter your mother's maiden name.

11. Enter the e-mail address you have now. This is where your userID and password will be sent for your records.

12. Read the Terms and Conditions information carefully. Click the circle next to the word "Accept" to accept the terms and conditions. A black dot should appear in the circle.

13. Select a confirmation option. We strongly recommend that you leave the default option selected. Your userID and password will be e-mailed to you. You can then print it out or keep it on your system for reference later.

14. Click the "Complete Registration" button.

15. Use this user ID and password any time you want to access the community.



To register for a permanent e-mail address



In order to receive any email sent to your new email@alum.wellesley.edu address you must also register for the permanent e-mail forwarding. If you feel that you might need extra help, print out the following instructions before you begin.

1. Enter the WCAA Alumnae Connections Community.

2. Click the "Permanent E-mail" text with the blue footprint in the left hand navigation column.

3. Enter your user ID and password for the Community (instructions above).

4. Click the "Register Permanent E-mail" button.

5. Enter the e-mail address that you use daily to receive e-mails. This will be the e-mail address to which all of your alum.wellesley.edu messages will be forwarded.

6. Click the Activate button.

7. Upon successful activation, your new permanent e-mail address will become operable within 12-24 hours.
