General Information

For All Guests:

• Once your registration is complete you will receive a confirmation notice which will include useful information and any programmatic updates useful for planning your trip.
• Please note that guests with disabilities and those needing assistance moving about the campus must notify the Alumnae Office in advance to make the necessary arrangements.
• Due to renovations taking place in the Science Center this summer, all lectures and seminars for 2008 Summer Symposium will take place in Collins Cinema. Collins Cinema is located adjacent to the Davis Museum and Cultural Center.
• Limited shuttles will be provided on-campus throughout the week for guests needing assistance moving between Stone-Davis and Collins Cinema.

Residential Guests:

• Check-in for Symposium begins at 2 p.m on Monday, June 2 at Stone-Davis Hall.
• Check-out for Symposium must be completed by 9 a.m on Friday June 6, arrangements will be made for those guests staying for Reunion 2008 to move to Reunion housing at that time.
• Accommodations for Symposium will be in Stone-Davis Hall. Linens, towels and a pillow are provided for each overnight guest.
• The residence hall is not air-conditioned but lecture halls will have climate control.
• With the exception of the Closing dinner all meals will take place in the Stone-Davis Dining Hall

• Residential guests are encouraged to leave their cars in Gray Lot (located near the Science Center and the Greenhouses) during Symposium due to its proximity to Stone-Davis.

Commuter Guests/Day Guests:

• Your check-in materials will be available for pick up at the following times and locations, otherwise all materials will be available at the Stone-Davis Desk.

  Tuesday, June 4: Collins Cinema 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  Wednesday, June 5: Collins Cinema 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  Thursday, June 6: Collins Cinema 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

• Parking: Parking will be available in the Davis-Parking Facility and the Gray Lot (near the Science Center and Greenhouses)

Helpful Phone Numbers and Campus Contact Information:

• During the week of Symposium, Stone-Davis will be our headquarters and student staff will be available at the front desk between 6 a.m and 11 p.m to offer assistance. In the case of an emergency, the phone number at Stone-Davis is 781-283-5519.
• The Alumnae Association office in Green Hall will also be open during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m), Monday thru Friday. Staff at the front desk in the office will be able to contact Symposium staff if necessary. The Alumnae Association phone number is 781-283-2331.
