Charleston:
Jewel of the South |
2007
April 26 -
May 1
|
Join Wellesley alumnae and friends for a springtime getaway to Charleston, S.C.,
one of the most romantic cities in the South. In a setting dotted with wrought-iron
gates, lush gardens and Spanish moss, shaded boulevards, and stately homes, we'll
enjoy the relaxed low-country style that makes the city so special.
We'll be
treated to gracious hospitality, visit elegant private homes, and explore historic
estates. We will also meet local artists and Wellesley alumnae, longtime residents
of the area, who will share with us their passion for this extraordinary city.
In the city's fine restaurants, we'll sample regional cuisine, and as we explore
the colonial city's hidden courtyards and old-town alleyways, we'll become acquainted
with the city's charming character.
With a lovely centrally located hotel, expert
local guides, and the Wellesley touch, there's never been a better way to discover
the special charms of Charleston!
