Broadcast Email Request Form
for Class and Reunion Volunteers

The Alumnae Association will facilitate broadcast emails to alumnae on behalf of your class. This may prove especially useful when promoting upcoming activities, newsletters, or to direct alumnae to your class' website. Email is a very powerful and efficient way of communicating with alumnae, but it should not be over-used. The Alumnae Association suggests you reserve this tool for significant events or announcements.

The Alumnae Association works in partnership with offices throughout the College to ensure alumnae receive a reasonable amount of email from the College. To this end, we maintain a calendar of all emails being sent each month and carefully monitor the number of emails being sent to various groups of alumnae. Classes are encouraged to request their broadcast emails as soon as possible. Please be aware that even scheduled emails are subject to last minute re-scheduling.

  The subject of the email must include the word “Wellesley” and your class year. Please keep subject headers short. (Example: Wellesley Class of 1997 Mini Reunion in Boston)

  The Alumnae Association recommends the reply-to email address be @alum.wellesley.edu address, though any valid email address will work.

The email text will be formatted by the Alumnae Association before it is sent out to alumnae.

Remember:
  • For event announcements, include all pertinent information: what, where, when, cost, RSVP information, contact for questions, directions, etc. Include email addresses as well as phone numbers.
  • Include a link to your class’ website where alumnae can go to get more information.
  • Broadcast emails cannot be sent with attachments.
  • Emails will be reviewed for content and formatting and are subject to Alumnae Association staff approval.

You will receive a copy of this request when it has been successfully submitted. Your email will go out on the requested date unless you receive an email from the Alumnae Association with an alternate send-out date.
