Conference on Aumnae Achievement and Women's Leadership

Women Who Will: A Celebration of Wellesley College Alumnae and Their Life Paths

April 20-21, 2001

In a dozen panel sessions, more than 50 alumnae will discuss their careers, their multifaceted life paths, and Wellesley's place in their lives. Some of the panelists scheduled to attend are: teacher Joy Dickson '92, writer-director Nora Ephron '62, author Rosario Ferre '60, astronaut Pamela Melroy '83, journalist Lynn Sherr '63, and rancher Margaret Sibbitt '79. The conference will begin at 1:30 on Friday, April 20 with opening remarks, followed by the panels. Discussion among panelists and the audience will be encouraged.

The evening will conclude with a special keynote address by former Secretary of State Madeleine Korbel Albright '59 and US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton '69. Click here to listen to this rare joint keynote address or to read/print a transcript.

Additional panel sessions will be held Saturday morning, followed by lunch for students, guests and alumnae participants.

The conference is open to the on-campus community and by invitation only to special guests.
