FOUR GENERATIONS OF NAVAJO WOMEN
Sculpture Court, Jewett Arts Center - 1:30 to 2:30
The Wellesley College Community welcomes five Navajo women representing four generations from the same family. They bring a wealth of information and experience and will speak about efforts to preserve Navajo language, culture and arts; realities of life on and off the reservation; public health, economic and educational challenges; and Navajo beliefs/spirituality (one of our guests is a highly regarded Navajo "singer"/medicine woman).
1:30 to 2:30 PM our guests will participate in an Open Studio demonstration in Jewett 3rd Floor Sculpture Court¦ at the invitation of the Studio Art Department
