BEVERLY, Mass. – The Wellesley College basketball team dropped a 78-45 game to Suffolk University on Saturday afternoon in the second game of the Endicott College Tip Off.  The Blue fall to 0-2 on the season, while the Rams improve to 2-0. 

Suffolk’s offense was able to convert 21 Wellesley turnovers into 16 points.  The Rams were led by senior forward's, Sarah Gregory (Fall River, Mass./Durfee) and Jenn Fogg (Stonington, Conn./Stonington), who both scored 11 points in the win.

Suffolk relied on an entire team effort, as the Rams bench outscored the Wellesley reserves, 46-18. Suffolk also dominated in the paint, holding a 36-14 advantage over the Blue. Despite the loss, Wellesley sophomore forward Jessica Duff (Milton Abingdon, UK/Saline High) had a monster game for the Blue, as she scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

Next up for the Rams is a trip to Colby Sawyer College on Tuesday night. The Blue will look to rebound on Tuesday as they travel to Brandeis at 5:30pm.
