Wellesley Falls To 4-4 With Setback At Bates

LEWISTON, ME - The Wellesley College basketball team, despite a game-high 19 points from junior center Kelly Grover, fell to 4-4 on the season with a 71-55 setback at Bates Saturday afternoon.

Grover shot 7-for-13 from the field and also grabbed six rebounds. Fellow junior Christine Carbonello added 13 on 6-for-10 shooting.

Wellesley outrebounded Bates, 45-38, but shot just 28.6 percent from the field. Bates countered with 51.7 percent shooting from the floor.

Wellesley hosts Connecticut College in another non-conference contest Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
