Wellesley Wins Third Straight Contest
WELLESLEY, MA - First-year Kristin Doeberl scored a team-high 15 points and was one of four players in double figures as the Wellesley College basketball team defeated Trinity, 71-51, in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon.
The win was Wellesley's third in a row, all of which came in a five-day span this week.
Christine Carbonello (14), Jane Gooding (13) and Kate Lyren (12) also scored in double figures for Wellesley. Bridget Dullea played all 40 minutes and scored a game-high 16 points for Trinity (5-4 overall).
Wellesley (7-4 overall) opens NEWMAC play Tuesday against Coast Guard at 7 p.m.
