E-mail: ccracoli@wellesley.edu Wellesley Finishes Third In Roger Williams Invitational Bristol, R.I. – A youth-laden Wellesley College cross -country team place third overall at the Roger Williams Invitational, Saturday in Briston R.I. The race was a 5,000 meter run. Wellesley had two top-ten finishers as senior captain Morgan Adams (Cumberland Foreside, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy) placed ninth with a time of 20:30. First-year Christine Grant (Mercer Island, Washington/Mercer Island) placed fourth overall in her first collegiate race with a time of 20:04, 28 seconds behind the first place finisher Kirsti Fitzgerald of Connecticut College. Wellesley returns to action Saturday, September 21 at the Williams Invitational. Race time is schedule for 1 p.m.
