E-mail: ccracoli@wellesley.edu Wellesley Places Second at 35th Annual Codfish Bowl Boston, Mass. – The Wellesley College cross-country team placed second out of 13 teams at the 35th Annual Codfish Bowl, Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. Wellesley with 64 team points and a total time of 1:40:22 finished behind Brandeis which had 37 team points and a total time of 1:37:29. Wellesley first-years' Sarah Bard (Waterville, Maine/Waterville) and Tracy Bassett Rancho Pales Verdes, Calif./Peninsula) placed sixth and seventh respectively out of the 112 runner-field. Bard finished the 5,107 meter race in 19:31.70 while Bassett finished in 19:32.80. Wellesley returns to action Saturday, October 5 at the Bryant Invitational.
