WELLESLEY, MASS. – The Wellesley College Fencing Team picked up two wins at the Northeast Conference fencing meet, Saturday, February 8.
Wellesley defeated Boston University 21-6 and Dartmouth College 19-8, but fell to Boston College, U.Mass, Tufts and Harvard by the scores of 31-6, 17-10, 23-4 and 23-4.
Wellesley Irena Inman (Bedford, N.H.) continued her dominance at Epee earning 16 wins and just two losses during the competition. Inman, the 2002 New England Pool “A” Epee champion, stands at 55-5 on the season.
Round One: Wellesley 21, Boston University 7 – (F) W 6-3, (E) W 6-3, (S) W 9-0
