Masiello Sets School Points Record To Lead Wellesley to 9-0 Win Over WPI

Wellesley, Mass. - Senior Betsy Masiello (Solebury, Pa./Saratoga) scored two goals and added an assist to lead Wellesley past WPI 9-0, Saturday at Wellesley College. Masiello's five points on two goals and an assist give her 120 points in her career and sets a new Wellesley College record for points in a career. With 45 goals and 30 assists, Masiello surpassed the previous mark of 119 points held by Alix Wandesforde-Smith '98.

Masiello leads Wellesley (12-3 overall, 6-1 NEWMAC) with 13 goals and nine assists in 2002 and has already established a school career record for assists in a career this season.

Wellesley's Alyssa Gordon (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) also netted two goals and an assist while Ashley Bennett (Carlisle, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) chipped in with three goals.

Beth Heneberry made 30 saves for WPI which falls to 1-13 overall and 0-7 in the NEWMAC.
