Holyoke (7-2, 1-1 NEWMAC), Saturday at Wellesley. The win was sweet redemption for Wellesley which avenged a 2-1 loss to Mt. Holyoke earlier in the season at the annual Seven Sisters Championship. Mt. Holyoke dethroned Wellesley as the three-time reigning champion. Arfsten, who scored her 100th career point and 40th career goal, beat two defenders inside the circle and then flicked the ball past Mt. Holyoke goalkeeper Liz Wishhart for the game-winner. Arfsten is now tied with fellow Wellesley senior Betsy Masiello (Solebury, Pa./Saratoga) for second all-time in career goals scored at Wellesley. Masiello and Arfsten need nine goals to break the current record of 48 held by Alix Wandesforde-Smith '98. Wellesley returns to action Tuesday, October 8 on the road against non-conference opponent Wesleyan for a 4:30 p.m. game and then will play two games at home against conference rival MIT on October 12 at 1 p.m and then against Clark on October 15 at 4 p.m. Wellesley (7-2, 2-0 NEWMAC) 0-1 2 Mt.
