Darene Matsusko Leads Wellesley To Third Place Finish at Williams
Golf Invitational
Williamstown, Mass. – Darene Matsuoka (Honolulu,
Hawaii/St. Andrew's Priory), a first-year player on the Wellesley
College Golf team, shot the lowest round in the short two-year history
of Wellesley golf, with a 77 to lead Wellesley to a third place
finish at the Williams Invitational, Sunday in Williamstown, Mass.
Matsuoka was tied for the individual first place finish but lost
in a playoff. Wellesley finished behind Amhert and St. Lawrence
with a team score of 342.
Wellesley returns to action, Saturday October 12 for the 2002 Wellesley
Golf Invitational. Tee time is 11 a.m.
