WELLESELY PLACES NINTH IN GEORGIA
Choi Makes Hole-In-One
JEYKLL ISLAND, GA. – The Wellesley
Golf team traveled to play in the Jeykll Island Invitational hosted
by Olgelthorp University in Georgia over the weekend. Wellesley held
a 10th place postion after day one with Susan Choi
(Valley Stream, N.Y.) tied for sixth. Choi finished
the day with a score of 84 and a hole-in-one which mirrored her
accomplishment on day one
of the 2004 tournament.
The Blue improved Sunday, finishing ninth (728) overall out of
16th full teams. Choi marked an 11th place finish with a score
of 168,
while
Jennifer Hazelton (Solana Beach, Calif./Torrey Pines) placed
44th with a score of 190. Katherine Moyer (New Hope,
Pa./Salem Academy) placed 50th (197)
and Jennifer Jenq (Saratoga, Calif/The Harker School) was
close behind in 53rd place with a score
of
183. Jena Roche (Windermere, Fla./Olympia) marked
a 64th place finish and Cecilia Yu (Vancouver, B.C./Crofton
House School) finished
the tournament with a score of 208.
Depauw University won the 2005 Jeykll Isalnd Invitational with
a 657 score.
