Lyo Has Record Outing At Hartford Invitational
HARTFORD, CT - First-year Vicki Leo set a pair
of Wellesley College records as the golf team continued its historic
first season. Lyo shot rounds of 94 and 91 at the Hartford Invitational
this past Sunday and Monday, as Wellesley placed 14th in the 15-team
field.
Lyo's final-round 91 marked the best 18-hole score in Wellesley's
short golf history. Additionally, her 36-hole total of 185 shattered
the previous mark of 198, set in the fall.
As a team, Wellesley shot a two-day total of 908. Amherst College
shot 696 and won the event by three shots over Central Connecticut
State University.
Wellesley is now off until April 26, when it plays at the Massachusetts
State Championship.
