Haverford Holds Off Bryn Mawr, 10-9

WELLESLEY, Mass. – In the semis of the consolation bracket, Haverford held off a late scare from Bryn Mawr to secure a 10-9 victory. Haverford will face Mount Holyoke in the 5th-place match tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. at Wellesley College. Bryn Mawr will play Cedar Crest in the 7th-place match at MacDowell Field at Babson College at 9:00 a.m. (directions).

Lauren Finkel (Silver Spring, Md.) led Haverford with four goals and two assists. Katie Meyers (Bethesda, Md.) and Tripti Tewari (Landsdowne, Pa.) chipped in goals a piece, with Meyers adding three assists. Goalkeeper Siobhan Neitzel (St. James, N.Y.) tallied 6 saves in the loss. Greta Flaherty (Cumberland, Maine) led Bryn Mawr with four goals, while Georgia Lawrence (Middletown, R.I.) and Avery Winn (Summit, N.J.) added two each. Goalie Stephanie Hilton (Westwood, Mass.) had 13 saves.
