Haverford Downs Mount Holyoke, 16-7

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Haverford used a quick start to upend Mount Holyoke in the Seven Sisters 5th-place game this afternoon. The Fords scored seven unanswered goals through the first 18 minutes, before trading goals for the remainder of the half and taking a 10-3 lead into the break. Haverford opened the second period with four consecutive goals, increasing their lead to 14-3. Mount Holyoke went on a 4-2 run to close the game, but the Fords held on for a 16-7 win.

Liz Koelmel (Hamburg, N.Y.) led Haverford with five goals, while Lauren Finkel (Silver Spring, Md.) added four. Siobhan Neitzel (St. James, N.Y.) tallied seven saves in the win. Megan Wefald (Granger, Ind.) netted six goals for the Lyons, while goalkeeper Lisa Roberts (Yarmouth, Maine) had 14 saves.
