Ann Batchelder
B.A., Wheaton College
M.Ed., Framingham State College
Ed.D., Boston University
A former nationally-ranked squash player and a very accomplished golfer, Ann currently focuses on employing new technologies to help students learn. One part of this strategy involves a visual lesson plan in golf on the college's networked computer system; the other focuses on taking video tapes of student golf swings, converting them to Quicktime movies, and then to individual frames for students to use for further study.
Ann's interests and hobbies are eclectic, ranging from playing golf and tennis to reading, cooking, and gardening. She also takes her golden retriever, Deucie, who has been trained as a therapy dog, to a local nursing home on a daily basis. Ann and Deucie have made more than 4000 visits.
