Avery Esdaile

Avery enters his sixth year as the Assistant Athletic Director.  He coordinates team travel arrangements for the Blue and oversees operations for all home events.   As the Chair of the Athletic Management Committee, he steers a collaborative effort that works to enhance department policies surrounding event operations.  

While at Wesleyan, Avery was a four-year starter and letter-winner on the men’s basketball team.  He graduated in 2000 with a B.A. in Sociology and spent extensive time working with the University Relations Department helping to coordinate family and reunions weekends.

Avery brings two years of administrative experience from Yale University where he served as the assistant for athletic facilities and varsity sports operations.  During his stint with the Bulldogs, he worked in event management as well as football and basketball operations and organized practice schedules for all varsity teams.

In his free time, he enjoys reading, music, traveling, playing and watching basketball, cooking, and golf.
