Gretchen Hayden-Ruckert

The Classical Indian Dance instructor, Gretchen has trained in Kathak style dance since 1972 with Kathak dance master, Chitresh Das, and earned a senior degree in Kathak Dance at the Nritya-Bharati College of Music and Dance (Calcutta, 1987). She has also trained at the Ali Akbar College of Music (1972-1978) and with the Chitresh Das Dance Company (1978-1992). Gretchen is the founder and artistic director of Chhandika (Chhandam Institute of Kathak), affiliated with Chandam Chitresh Das Dance Company and School in California.
